By visiting this site you agree to the terms below. They are deliberately short and readable. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site.

These terms are between you and Sachin Karunarathna, a software engineer based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

This is a personal portfolio. It exists to describe my work, experience and technical approach so that potential employers, clients and collaborators can evaluate them. It is informational only.

Nothing on this site is an offer, a quotation, a guarantee of availability, or a commitment to take on work.

The design, text, layout and code of this site are my own work and are protected by copyright. You may view it, share links to it, and quote short passages with attribution.

You may not copy the site wholesale, republish it as your own, or present my work, case studies or biography as belonging to someone else.

Screenshots, product names and logos belonging to clients and employers appear here to illustrate work I contributed to. Those assets remain the property of their respective owners and are shown for portfolio and identification purposes only.

Their presence does not imply that those organisations endorse this site. Where a project is marked as an associated or team contribution, my role was one part of a larger effort. Confidential implementation details are deliberately left out, and sensitive data in screenshots is redacted.

Tools linked from this portfolio, such as the repositories hosted on GitHub, are governed by the licence published in each repository, not by these terms. Read the licence in the repository before using, modifying or distributing that code.

Those projects are provided without warranty, and I am not responsible for how you deploy or operate them.

When using this site, please do not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting, or any connected system
• Scrape, mirror or bulk-download the site for republication or model training without permission
• Introduce malware, run automated attacks, or otherwise disrupt availability for others
• Use the contact channels to send spam, chain messages, or unlawful, abusive or misleading content
• Impersonate me or misrepresent your relationship with me or my clients

The contact section opens a pre-filled message in WhatsApp or your email client. Sending it starts a conversation, nothing more: it does not create a contract, a client relationship, or any obligation on either side.

Unless we have signed a written agreement, messages you send are not treated as confidential. Please do not send trade secrets, credentials or material covered by an NDA until such an agreement is in place. Any engagement, including scope, timelines and fees, is governed by the separate written agreement we sign, which takes precedence over these terms.

Technical opinions, case studies and articles on this site are general commentary drawn from my own experience. They are not engineering, security, legal or financial advice for your specific situation, and you should not act on them without your own assessment.

This site links to third-party destinations including client websites, GitHub, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. I do not control those sites and am not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices. Following an external link is at your own risk.

The site is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. I make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is complete and current at every moment. It may be modified, taken down or restructured at any time without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or your reliance on its content, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site.

These terms may be updated as the site evolves. The revised version applies from the date shown at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site after that date means you accept it.
